FREE recycling of your obsolete TV

Your TV might have become obsolete last Friday. In Washington state there is a free and safe way to recycle your old televisions — E-Cycle Washington. This producer-pays electronics recycling program is the result of a groundbreaking law that passed in 2006. In January, sites statewide started accepting old computers and televisions for recycling.

Reuse of older televisions is the least impact option for older TVs. If your TV goes dark, you can purchase a converter box, get cable, or donate it to a school or community group that can use it to show videos or dvds. However, if you opt to get rid of an older television, please recycle it safely.
